Chicago Sky Lines Silver Gelatin Print
Own this special view of the downtown Chicago skyline, captured while standing in Millennium Park. I shot this image using my Graflex Crown Graphic Camera and 4 x 5 inch TMAX film. For the shot, I took advantage of the camera's tilt function, so the resulting image includes vignetting on the bottom of the frame and precise sharpness on the tops of the buildings.
Silver Gelatin Print of Chicago Skyline comes in two sizes: 11 x 14 inches and 16 x 20 inches. These prints are already framed with museum quality mat board and a simple black metal frame. For the 11 x 14 inches I made a limited edition of 10.
Silver Gelatin print or 'gelatin silver print' is an archival black and white printing paper where silver is suspended in gelatin on the paper's surface. The image is comprised of the developed silver. This print was made in a traditional black and white darkroom. The printing process dates back to the late 19th century although contemporary photographers like myself still work in the darkroom to make these prints today!
